Messrs. Lee Associates The project Architects responsible for the refurbishment of the premises at the above address, had to provide by statute a disabled persons lift, to allow access to the basement level dining area.

The difference in levels being in excess of the 2000mm allowed for a free standing unit, required the lift to be totally enclosed in a brick or concrete shaft to comply with regulations. It was felt that such a shaft would severely detract from the spacious feel of the elegant dining room.

SAXON light duty, Feature Lift utilising a triple scissor mechanism, enclosed in a slim structured steel fabricated shaft and panelled with secretly fixed crystal clear toughened glass. The lift doors are also single piece toughened glass, side hinged outswing type, manually operated and electro-mechanically interlocked to the lift travel.

The smooth, near silent, multiple scissor lift mechanism and car can be clearly seen extending when the lift is operating and we are told that it has rapidly become a topic of conversation with the diners.

The chosen bronze finishes blend with the general décor.
