The Architects brief for the proposed new Chill Store Loading Bay extension was to comply with E.E.C. food regulations for a meat processing factory, loading food products into company fleet and sub-contract refrigerated vehicles.

The dock levellers were to withstand a high pressure hose wash down regime and thoroughly self drain to restrict possible bacterial growth.

The dock shelters had to be installed into limited space fully sealing the trailers both environmentally and thermally into a continuous cold path chain, providing a practical, efficient, attractive installation.

CONTINUOUS COLD CHAIN LOADING BAY SYSTEM
Comprising S.H.D-H.S type heavy duty steel constructed dock levellers utilising fabricated anti water trap sections, continuous-sealed welded.

Machined parts zinc plated and the platform anti-corrosion galvanised. The electro-hydraulic components are to I.P.65 marine standard. All designed into an integral casting tray to allow for a clear under tail lift stowage aperture.

The Saxon S.A.S. Type inflatable dock shelters do provide a high degree of environmental and thermal sealing aesthetically enclosed in B.S. Plastisol HP.200 cladding to match the chosen finishes.
